Mission
Statement
This
web site was designed as a place for expecting parents to find and exchange
information and experiences related to the detection of Choroid Plexus
Cysts (CPC's) in their fetuses. The author of this web site is not
a medical professional, and this web site is not intended as a substitute
for professional medical care or advice. If you come across any incorrect
information contained in these pages, please email cpc@its2ez.com.
The Inspiration
This
website was inspired by, and is dedicated to, Alison. Ali
was diagnosed with CPC's at 17 weeks. The CPC's resolved by week
24, and no structural abnormalities were noted in the ultrasounds.
Ali was born in 1997! Ali is, and continues to be, a completely
healthy and happy little girl! Our hope is that you will all have
the same great fortune!

The
Message Board
The
CPC Web Message Board
was originally included on this page. It is the cornerstone of this
website, and functions as an online parent support group. Because
of the numerous posts to the message board, it has been moved to a page
of its own. The CPC
Web Message Board is now located at http://www.choroidplexuscyst.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl.
To read personal accounts and experiences, or post your own message, please
visit the CPC Web Message
Board.
Medline
Since
the message board will only contain laypersons account's of experiences
with CPC's, you may wish to consult more authoritative sources of information
(in addition to the advice of your medical professional, of course). The
National
Library of Medicine provides a means for searching the MEDLINE database
for medical journal abstracts related to your topic of research. Clicking
on the link provided below will quickly and easily provide you with the
results of a MEDLINE search for information on CPC's.
