Excerpt:  "It is now over 15 years since the first description of cysts of the choroid plexus on antenatal ultrasound (Chudleigh et al., 1984), and 13 years since an association between this finding and trisomy 18 (Edward's syndrome) was described (Nicolaides et al., 1986). Despite the vast literature which has accumulated, there remains doubt over the precise relationship and, as a consequence, clinical practice varies both within and between countries. As each publication arrives the question is asked. Have we reached a final answer? And so: `Are we there yet?'..."
